WTVC-TV NewsChannel 9, an ABC affiliate, signed on the air from it's transmitter building on Signal Mountain in 1958. The transmitter remains on the mountain, but our offices and studios moved to downtown Chattanooga in 1966. Then in 2001 we moved to a new building at 4279 Benton Dr. near Hwy. 153 and hwy. 58.
We're proud to have broadcast more than five decades of quality television. Of course that kind of quality isn't possible without quality people... and quality viewers.
