Man Trapped in Car Crash Dies

A McMinn County man was killed in a crash in Bledsoe County Friday night.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol tells us that William Turner of McMinnville was a passenger in a car going north on U-S 127 in Pikeville.
The car crossed into the southbound lanes, went off the road, and slammed into some trees.
The vehicle then caught fire.

Turner was trapped and could not get out. The driver, Dennis Howard of Dunlap, was able to get out safely.
