Falcons on Verge of Extending Dubious Streak

Ovie Mughelli has heard about The Streak, but he's a little shaky on the details.

The Atlanta Falcons fullback was thinking it's been a decade or so since the team managed to back-to-back winning season. Actually, they've never done it in their 44-year history, one of the most dubious streaks in sports.

How dubious? According to STATS Inc., only six franchises in the four major sports have failed to post consecutive winning seasons, including two other NFL teams, the Carolina Panthers and Houston Texans.

None of those other teams has been around nearly as long as the Falcons (6-7), who must win their final three games to end The Streak.
