CORNBREAD FESTIVAL -13th annual cornbread festival in south pittsburg, tn......................The Festival has received extensive media coverage including national exposure on Food Network's "Great American Festivals" and in Southern Living and Taste of the South magazines....the annual cornbread festival is sponsored by lodge cast iron and martha white companies.....this event features 10 baking & frying finalists selected from more than 1-thousand cornbread cooks nationwide--there's a cornbread cook-off, contestants from texas, to arizona to henegar, al....entertainment, food, arts, crafts, and a carnival. The festivities will begin Friday night with a street dance. ....on saturday 10-cornbread makers put together a multitude of cornbread recipes for judges
ERLANGER -Pat Joly, stroke coordinator for Erlanger's Southeast Regional Stroke Center, along with Dr. Thomas Devlin, neurologist and medical director of the Erlanger Southeast Regional Stroke Center, are here to discuss Stop Stroke Saturday, scheduled for Saturday, May 2, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Erlanger East Campus. Our region has one of the highest incidences of stroke per capita in the United States.
Leading local physicians will present information on risk factors, signs and symptoms, and lifestyle changes you can take to prevent becoming one of the statistics. A question and answer session will follow each presentation.
Experts include stroke center director and neurologist, Dr. Thomas Devlin; medical director of Erlanger Sleep Disorders Center, Dr. Gabe Tallent; hypertension specialist, Dr. Michael Geer; and interim chair of Department of Internal Medicine with UT College of Medicine Chattanooga, Dr. Mukta Panda. The event is free, and registration is required.
