Planners at Chattanooga National Cemetery are looking at ways to find more burial space for veterans.
Director Paul Martin met Wednesday with U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs representatives to plan for the addition of thousands of new crypts to the 120-acre property.
The Chattanooga Times Free Press reported that they also discussed installing a columbarium - a wall that houses cremated remains identified by an engraved plaque.
Just two of Tennessee's five national cemeteries remain are open for new burials.
