One Police Officer on Leave and Another Has Resigned

A Chattanooga police officer has been put on administrative leave and another officer has resigned. According to Sgt. Kim Noorbergen of the Chattanooga Police Department, Officer Shawn Cunningham, who became an officer in 2002, is on leave pending an Internal Affairs Investigation. And Mr. Jeff Thompson, who became a Chattanooga Police Officer in 1999, has now resigned from the department. At this time the police department has not revealed what prompted the resignation nor the IA investigation... or if they are related or not.
