FBI Reports Bank Robber May Be in Ooltewah

The FBI is asking the public to be on the alert for a bank robber who could be in the Ooltewah area. They say George Steven Cuthbertson has robbed eight financial institutions in three states, and has been reported in the Ooltewah, Tennessee area. Cuthbertson, white male, born October 5, 1953, 5'11" tall, 250 pounds, with green eyes and gray hair is wanted by state and federal authorities. He has been tied to eight robberies in Louisiana, Arkansas, and Alabama. He was last seen driving a white 1997 Dodge van with the letter "M" still somewhat visible on the front doors. The "M" is left over from when it had been a McDonald's work van.

Recent information is that he may have been seen in Ooltewah, Tennessee.

The public is cautioned not to approach this individual, but to immediately notify law enforcement of his whereabouts. The public is further reminded that all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
