Bruce Plante Leaving Chattanooga
Comments 0 | Recommend 0The Chattanooga Times Free Press confirms Bruce Plante, the first in-house editorial cartoonist for The Chattanooga Times, will be moving to Tulsa, Oklahoma.
According to the Association of American Editorial Cartoonists, Plante's cartoons have been reprinted in The New York Times, USA Today, The Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal, The Los Angeles Times, Newsweek, Playboy, Sports Illustrated, Discover, CBS, CNN, college and high school textbooks and even the Iowa Achievement Test.
In 1989, he created Plante Ink syndicate which distributes his editorial cartoons to 80 subscribers throughout the United States including 40 newspapers in Tennessee.
Plante, 52, has coached Little League baseball and football for 17 years for his 2 sons Jonathan and Benjamin. He and his wife, Betsy, recently celebrated their 29th anniversary.
