Man Sentenced in Crack Cocaine Ring
Another man has been sentenced after admitting to his role in a crack cocaine ring in the McMinn County area.
Back in June, the Bereau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms, the Tennessee Bereau of Investigation, and McMinn County and Monroe County deputies arrested the 19 people.
The federal indictment says, between January 2005 and May 2009, James Stephens aka "White Mike" and the other people involved, conspired to distribute 50 grams or crack cocaine and 5 kilograms (5,000 grams) or more of cocaine hydrochloride.
Stephens was sentenced to 97 months in prison, or 8 years and one month. He will serve five years on supervised release.
Previously involved, James Williams received a 87 month sentence and five years supervised release.
Angela Huddleston aka "Big Angie" will be sentenced on Monday. Diaz Benton will be sentenced on December 14th.
Anthony Harper, aka "Bubba" and Ronald Batts aka "Ron" and "J" have also filed notice with the court to plead guilty, their sentencing is set for January 14, 2010.
Kevin Jackson changed his plea to guily, he will be sentenced on February 14, 2010.
Nichole Evans has also plead guilty.
A jury trial is set for others in the case on December 8th.
