Allison Chinchar

Allison Chinchar is the newest member of the NewsChannel 9 StormTrack Team, joining Chief Meteorologist David Glenn and Senior Meteorologist Bill Race.

Allison is originally from Cincinnati. She graduated from Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Atmospheric Science.

She says, "Growing up I was inspired about the weather by my mother who was a trained weather spotter. While other kids were watching cartoons after school, I loved to watch the Weather Channel. Even living in Ohio I used to track hurricanes on a dry erase board everyday until the storm dissolved."

She says her favorite season is winter. She enjoys running in her spare time.

"I just ran the Disney World half-marathon in January and I loved it," she said. " It was great because I achieved a goal and got to go to my favorite vacation place at the same time."
