Darrell Patterson

Darrell, born December 13 in Athens, Tennessee, is NewsChannel 9's Sports Director and Anchor. In 1990, he began hosting the annual Darrell Patterson Volunteer Challenge, a golf tournament which raises money for "Santa for All Seasons", a local charity which helps with the emotional and educational needs of hunderds of area foster children.
He's been recognized by two Tennessee Governors, Ned McWherter and Don Sundquist, for his work on this tournament.
Darrell was inducted into the Chattanooga Sports Hall of Fame in 2004.
