joining us today as our chattanooga chamber of commerce changemaker is Ashley Farrar, with Molly Maid discussing The Chattanooga Chamber's MidTown Council
they convened four community groups this spring to address the area's educational needs and assist residents in earning their GEDs.
The council launched the initiative after speaking with potential GED candidates about the obstacles that prevent many of them from seeking certification. Through those conversations, council members identified the primary challenges as access, transportation and child care.
"The MidTown Council is looking forward to convening more local partners around opportunities like this as we leverage our collective strengths to improve the quality of life for everyone in the area."
