Given our choice, most of us would prefer to remain in our homes forEVER. But many of us will eventually need nursing home care. It's encouraging to me that Life Care Centers of America is constantly looking for ways to make that experience as comfortable and beneficial as possible-for more information call 423-473-5026
Cindy Nash, Lactation Consultant at Erlanger Baroness Campus. Joins us today to talk about the Best Fed Beginnings program
Erlanger Baroness Campus has been selected to participate in Best Fed Beginnings, a first-of-its-kind national effort to significantly improve breastfeeding rates in regions where rates are currently at their lowest.
Best Fed Beginnings seeks to reverse trends by dramatically increasing the number of hospitals in the United States that implement a proven model for maternity services and better support a new mother's choice to breastfeed.

The Baby-Friendly Hospital Initiative (BFHI) is a global program sponsored by the World Health Organization (WHO) and the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) to encourage and recognize hospitals and birthing centers that offer an optimal level of care for infant feeding and mother-baby bonding. The BFHI assists hospitals in giving mothers the information, confidence, and skills needed to successfully initiate and continue breastfeeding their babies or feeding formula safely, and gives special recognition to hospitals that have done so.
