HAMILTON COUNTY FAIR
the 23rd Annual Hamilton County Fair for 2012
is this weekend, September 29 & 30 at Chester Frost Park----event is 10:00 am til 6:00 pm both days.
Enjoy a wide variety of foods, hand-made arts and crafts, and live music on two stages. The community stage features gymnastics, dance, martial arts and performances by local groups.
New this year! See 17 acts compete for the $500 prize at the County Fair Talent Show on Saturday at 4 pm... One of media judges - ME...
Hear live music on two stages by 24 bands including the Bluegrass Pharaohs, Tin Cup Gypsy, Huckleberry Wine and the Beaters. This year's Agricultural Arena lineup includes some great new equestrian performances and educational presentations by the Hamilton County 4-H Club. Special dog exhibitions including a sled-dog demonstration will also be held in the Ag. Arena.
Remember, the County Fair is a "park and ride" event! There is no on-site parking at Chester Frost Park. To get to the fair, catch the shuttle at Northgate or Middle Valley Recreation Center. Tickets are $6 for adults and $4 for children 3-12. There is no admission fee and lots of free things to do and see at the Fair!
The fair will be held rain or shine. Strollers and wheelchairs are allowed. Bags will be checked prior to boarding. All vehicles with proper handicap designation will be directed to an onsite parking area and guests will be shuttled via handicap accessible vans to the fairgrounds.

The curtain's about to rise on this year's talented group of CHOO CHOO KIDS, the signature musical theatre group at the Center for Creative Arts. Learning check-ups are for children ages 5 and under, and they can give you information on how your child is developing in comparison to other children his or her age. Project Ready for School will send your child a new learning check-up each year. As a bonus, you will receive one FREE family pass to the Creative Discovery Museum with your child's results!
The big news is that the learning check-up are now online and your child can have a check-up in the convenience of your own home and on your own schedule.

Imagination Library is a FREE book program for children under the age of 5. Children enrolled in Project Ready for School will receive one free book in the mail each month, until their fifth birthday!
Your child will begin receiving books within 8 -10 weeks after enrolling in the program.
