Kevin Sims is the newest member of the Good Morning Chattanooga Team.

Kevin says, "I fell in love with Chattanooga the first time I came here. That's why I'm returning to the Tennessee Valley."

Kevin worked as a reporter in Chattanooga from 1999 to 2002. He then returned to his home state of Oklahoma. While away however, Kevin continued to visit Chattanooga several times a year to enjoy the Scenic City.

Kevin graduated from the University of Oklahoma and took his first job in Amarillo, Texas. His second was in Chattanooga before he then returned to Oklahoma City.

Kevin began his career helping track down the Oklahoma City bombing suspects. Since then his broadcast journalism pursuits have led him to chase tornadoes in helicopters, brave ice storms and even had the opportunity to interview former President George W. Bush and Oprah Winfrey.

But his passion is telling the stories of the people he meets.

"I'm looking forward to starting the day off right for each and every one of the Good Morning Chattanooga viewers."

Kevin lives with his dog Peeve. While he says he will have to continue to support his beloved Oklahoma Sooners, he is happy to be back in the Tennessee Valley where folks "bleed orange," and cheer on all the UTC home teams.
