Kim Chapman

Kim Chapman, born October 6th, co-anchors at 5:00, 6:00 and 11:00 on NewsChannel 9. Kim brings 10 years of experience in broadcast journalism to NewsChannel 9.

Her career has taken her to several cities in the Southeast and she is happy to be calling Chattanooga home again! Before coming to back to Chattanooga, Kim was the morning anchor and a reporter for the ABC affiliate in Jacksonville, Florida. This is Kim's second tour of duty in Chattanooga. She worked here for three years before moving to Florida.

In her journalistic career, she has been recognized by the Associated Press for outstanding news coverage of different events. While in Jacksonville, the morning news was nominated for an Emmy for breaking news coverage. Kim is active in the Chattanooga community, but, as a member of the Board of Directors, Kim dedicates most of her time to the Epilepsy Foundation of Southeast Tennessee. She also is a member of the National Board of Directors of the Epilepsy Foundation of America.

Kim is a member of OLPH Catholic Church. She has and adopted "daughter," Dixie ... who has four legs and, at one point, was living at the Humane Society.
