Lindsay Jackson

March 4, 2009 - 5:58 PM

Lindsay is a native of Chattanooga, where she attended Ooltewah High School.

After living here for about 12 years, she knew she wanted to get away for a bit...but not too far away. She attended the University of Tennessee at Knoxville, where she spent 4 years cheering on the Vols. She graduated in May 2008 with a Bachelor's Degree in English literature and a minor in classical civilization.

Lindsay says, I first planned on going to law school, but after working in a law firm for a year and a half while in school, I realized I wanted something more exciting."

She says she found just that, back in the Scenic City.

"I love Chattanooga," Lindsay says. "I always knew I'd be back after school."

Lindsay began her career at NewsChannel 9 as a freelance writer and was excited to learn more about the business. She has learned how to produce and anchor and is now the traffic and general assignment reporter for Good Morning Chattanooga.

"It's great to meet new people and hear their stories every day. It feels good to know that I might be able to make a difference in people's lives by sharing those stories with others."

In her free time, Lindsay calls herself a book worm! When she is not curled up with a good book, she enjoys cooking, traveling, shopping, and visiting with family and friends.

She loves her cat, Daisy, and heads to Knoxville, decked out in orange, to cheer on her alma mater any chance she gets!
