UTC Failing When It Comes to Graduating Students

The NCAA on Tuesday released its annual Academic Progress Rate, which measures eligibility and retention of student athletes for every program at every Division I school.
In the state of Tennessee, 28 state university athletic teams scored below a 925- the equivalent of a 60 percent graduation success rate under the NCAA's formula - and will receive warning letters at minimum.
Seven teams in Tennessee, including UT Knoxvile basketball, face scholarship penalties after scoring below 925 and having a student-athlete leave school in poor academic standing.
The UTC football and wrestling squads will face a ban on postseason play if their poor academic performance continues.
