Two Hurt In Hardee's Parking Lot Accident
Police: Driver Hit Gas Too Soon

Two people were hurt Tuesday in an accident in a Hardee's parking lot.
The accident happened at the restaurant on Morrison Springs Road near U.S. 27.
Authorities told NewsChannel 9's John Pless that an 86-year-old man was backing out of his parking spot when he apparently hit the gas pedal too soon and slammed into two cars.
Two people were standing between the cars, police said.
One man was knocked beneath a van. A woman ended up pinned between the two cars.
Both victims were taken to the hospital. Authorities said it appeared their injuries were not serious.
