Three Men Shot

Chattanooga Police were called to 2107 East 13th Street Thursday morning on a shooting.

It happened about 2:30 am in the alley behind the home. According to the victims, they were in the alley talking when a man approached them, pointed a gun at them and demanded money. When they told him they didn’t have any money, he started shooting, striking all three men.

Elias Perez, 19, was shot in the right leg and left buttock. Edwin Miranda, 22, was grazed by bullet in the abdomen while the third man, Eduardo Jimenez, 21, received a gunshot wound to the chest.

Jimenez, who is new to the Chattanooga area and only an acquaintance of Perez and Miranda, underwent surgery this morning.

A spokesperson said all three victims are expected to recover.

The suspect fled on foot and victims have been unable to provide a detailed description.
