In Dalton, the school board has increased the amount that parents outside the district will pay to have their child attend classes in the city..
The current formula that calculates the amount, had set the amount at 855 dollars. That will now increase to a thousand dollars for one child..
A second child is still discounted, but that amount has also risen to 750 dollars.
School Board President Stephen Williams tells NewsChannel 9, the rate stays at 648 dollars for children of school system employees who live outside the district.
He says, tuition is going up because of increased property values.
