Authorities in McMinn County are investigating a house fire in Athens, where they found two bodies after the blaze was contained.

Firefighters responded to the fire on Webb Street around 2 a.m.

Officials discovered the bodies of two victims in the home and authorities are working to determine their identities.

The state bomb and arson unit has been called in to assist with the investigation.
