Teenager Dies on ATV; Another Injured

A teenager is dead after an ATV accident in Chattooga County, Ga..

According to Joseph Swords with the Georgia State Patrol, two 14-year-old boys on an ATV were traveling westbound on Holland-Chattoogaville Road. 

As they came to an intersection of GA Hwy 114,  crossing Johnson Cemetary Road, the driver lost control of the ATV.

Investigators say he traveled off the North Shoulder of Johnson Cemetary Road, sideswiped a parked car in a yard, struck a mailbox and then hit a tree.

Both of the boys were thrown from the ATV. The driver was killed.

The other teenager was taken to Erlanger Medical Center by Life Force Helicopter and is listed in stable condition. 

According to officers both boys live in the area where the accident occurred, but are not believed to be related.

Their identities have not been released.
