Recall Movement Not Backing Down
The groups behind the recall movement say they were'nt invited to the mayor's unity meeting.
And they add their effort is not over. Jim Folkner, the organizer behind Citizens to recall Ron Littlefield says the court defeat makes the movement stronger.
Folkner says people remain outraged their signatures were thrown out on technicalities. They plan to fight the Circuit Court ruling.
"We're contemplating what legal action we should take to throw out this ruling for starters. Well there's several possibilities that we are investigating right now. We should have an answer in a day or two," Folkner said.
One possible option Folkner cited was a possible emergency appeal to the state appeals court or state supreme court.
He added petition signers downtown and in the suburbs were not represented in this court battle.
As for the mayor's extension of an olive branch, Folkner responded it would need to be extended to more than 15,000 people.
