Comments 0 | Recommend 0State and local law officers in Marion and Sequatchie Counties are raising awareness about one of the most dangerous roads in their region.
Since 1996 more than 40 people have died on the Highway 28 and more than 600 people have been hurt.
It's a 29 mile stretch of roadway that runs from Dunlap through Marion County to I-24.
So, law officers have formed what's called Operation 28 to keep people safe.
Officer say to make sure you slow down, wear your seatbelt and do not drink and drive.
