Chattanooga Man Charged with Bigamy
Comments 0 | Recommend 047-year-old Harold Junior Garth was arrested Friday on a charge of bigamy, according to Hamilton County Jail records. Garth is accused of being married to more than one woman at the same time.
Mary Lou Garth told NewsChannel 9 that when she met Garth a few years ago, he appeared to be a good Christian and gentleman. They married and he moved in with her. But Mary Lou Garth says the relationship soured after a couple of years and they separated last summer. Mary Lou Garth says it was dumb-luck when she found out that her husband was married to other women.
Mary Lou Garth says, "I met Patricia Garth at my job and I followed her out and I asked her if she knew Harold Garth and she said she was married to him and I said no, I'm married to him."
Court records show Harold Garth is also married to Shannon Renee Garth, and another woman in Atlanta.
