Update: Body Found in Chattooga

We're learning more information about a body found floating in the Chattooga River.

Investigators now know the body is of a black man.  Sheriff John Everett tells us the body has been decomposing for two to three weeks.  The sheriff says a man found the body along the banks of the Chattooga River nearly Lylerly, Georgia just before seven Friday night.

The man who found it says, at first he thought it was a dead animal. He called authorities once he realized that it was a man.  Investigators are waiting for crime lab results to see if they'll treat the case as a homicide.
