Pit Bull Wins His Court Case
Comments 0 | Recommend 0A maimed pit bulldog actually appeared in Hamilton County Sessions court this afternoon and comes out in a better home. An anonymous call to McKamey Animal Care Center exposed the previous owner of "Rux" cut his ears off.
McKamey found the dog bleeding badly and rushed him to River Animal hospital.
They stitched his ears and stopped the bleeding. An animal control officer says his previous owner, Oswaldo Garcia-Padilla, had kept him locked in a wooden box, a tactic used in training pits to fight.
Garcia-Padilla was put on probation for a year, ten days of community service and must pay McKamey $1,200 for housing and vet bills. He also can't own a dog for one year.
Meanwhile, McKamey adopted "Rux" and will use him to show the public pit bulls are good dogs if you raise them right.
