Girl dies after school bus strikes her
Comments 0OAK RIDGE, Tenn. (AP) - Authorities in Oak Ridge say a 12-year-old girl who was struck by a school bus while riding her bicycle has died.
Ashley Paine was hit Friday and died yesterday at the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville.
Police say Ashley apparently lost control of her bike, which ran off a sidewalk and she fell into the street. Authorities say a bus from her middle school ran over her.
She was the daughter of Donnie and Laurie Paine of Anderson County.
