Senator Ford Guilty on Fraud Charges

A middle Tennessee jury finds former state Senator John Ford guilty on two counts of wire fraud and four charges of making a false statement on official documents.

He accepted more than 800-thousand dollars from two TennCare contractors to promote their interests.

Ford was once one of the state's most powerful lawmakers.

He is already serving jail time on separate corruption charges but could face up to 60 years on the new conviction -- although his actual sentence would likely be lower.
