Chattanooga Sex Offender Added to TBI Top Ten
Comments 0 | Recommend 0The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation today put a convicted sex offender from Chattanooga on its Top Ten Most Wanted fugitive list after he committed a series of offenses in Hamilton County. There is a $1,000 reward for information leading to his capture.
Lebron Tyson Jones, 38, last known address 604 Parkview Drive, Chattanooga, TN is wanted by the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office for two counts of aggravated robbery, simple assault, failure to appear, violation of the sex offender registry and violation of probation. The night of August 17, 2009, Jones robbed the Champy’s Famous Fried Chicken restaurant where he had previously been employed. He demanded cash out of the register and then ordered everyone into the kitchen and face the wall. He exited a rear door.
Jones has a criminal history that dates back to 1982 and includes aggravated rape, assault, kidnapping, domestic assault, burglary, assaulting a police officer and failure to appear in court. He may still be in the local area, but also frequents Atlanta, GA.
Jones is described as a black male with black hair and brown eyes. He’s approximately 5’5”, weighs 130 lbs and has tattoos on his chest and both arms. Jones was last seen leaving the restaurant in a green four-door car, possibly a Nissan, driving East on 10th Street. He is considered dangerous and should be approached with caution. Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Lebron Tyson Jones is urged to call the TBI at 1-800-TBI-FIND. Again, there is a $1,000 reward for information leading to his capture.
