True Woman Conference in Chattanooga
Some 2,000 women from across the Southeast will gather at the Chattanooga Convention Center, March 25 – 27, to help kick off a national conference tour called True Woman ’10. Born out of the True Woman Movement, which helps women discover and embrace God’s purpose and mission for their lives, the True Woman conference in Chattanooga is open to women of all ages and will be the first stop on a three-city tour taking place in 2010. Other event cities include Indianapolis (Sept. 23 – 25) and Fort Worth, Texas (Oct. 14 – 16).
The Chattanooga True Woman ’10 conference is designed specifically for women and topics addressed will include: building personal faith, motherhood, women’s global issues, and a specific breakout session just for teens.
Featured speakers will include Nancy Leigh DeMoss, Mary Kassian, Kay Arthur, Pastor James MacDonald, Dr. Voddie Baucham, Fern Nichols, Dannah Gresh, and Jennifer Rothschild. Special music will be provided by Irish composers-artists Keith and Kristyn Getty.
The first True Woman conference was held in Chicago in October 2008, and drew some 6,300 women. The Chattanooga conference is open to all women, and registration details are available at www.truewoman.com. The True Woman conferences were born out of the True Woman Movement, a worldwide, grassroots movement that was birthed in October 2008 with the signing of the True Woman Manifesto. The goal of the movement is to help women discover and embrace God’s design and mission for their lives as instructed in the Bible, sharing the love of Christ with the world around them, and impacting future generations.
