Body Found In Cherokee County Lake Laid To Rest

A man, whose body found in a Cherokee County lake, has been laid to rest.

The Cherokee Scout reports the body of 22-year-old Kevin Rugg was found last weekend floating face down in Hiwassee Lake.

Authorities say the cause of death has been labeled a drowning, but they don't know right now if it was accidental or intentional.

Rugg's family told the paper that he had a brain tumor for most of his life, and was prone to seizures.  Funeral services were held yesterday.
