Child Abuse Arrest
Comments 0 | Recommend 0An Ooltewah woman is charged with child abuse after the alleged victim met detectives at Hunter Middle School.
35-year-old Kitty Acosta is free on a $2,500 bond after being indicted by a grand jury on one count of aggravated child abuse.
Hamilton County detectives say Acosta got angry with a child and tried to dunk their head into a toilet bowl. Detectives say the child resisted and Acosta then held their head under water in a bath tub and cut the child's hair off.
Reports say the child suffered bruises as well.
Acosta, who is not a school employee, is scheduled to be in Hamilton County Criminal Court September 5.
