LaFayette Grave Concerns Continue
Thursday evening LaFayette, Ga. city leaders will hold a meeting to answer questions as confusion continues two days after city workers stripped the cemetery of flowers and mementos.
City leaders told us Tuesday they were still trying to figure out how workers were given the instruction to remove all of the flowers- and not just the dead ones.
Wednesday we found a possible answer. We got our hands on a memo clearly stating that the city would be removing all flowers.
The city manager says that's the only thing the workers took. But we found many people who said many more items were removed from the cemetery besides floral arrangements.
The city manager says people who are missing items should file a police report.
