Catoosa Shooting a Mystery
Comments 0 | Recommend 0A shooting is under investigation in Catoosa County, according to Sheriff Phil Summers.
It happened around 7 am Friday at the intersection of Oak Street and Carline Road. Responding officers found the victim, Connelly Dean Cofer of 7131 Mountain View Road, Ooltewah, Tenn., suffering from a gunshot wound to the face.
Cofer was rushed to Erlanger Medical Center where he is listed in critical condition.
Sheriff Summers said there is little information about the shooting, or a possible suspect. Investigators are conducting interviews with residents in the area in hopes of obtaining more information.
Cofer operates a vending service and travels to business locations catering food and drink items to workers. The sheriff said they don't know if robbery may have been a motive. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is assisting in the investigation.
