More Local Soldiers Will Be Coming Home
Comments 0Soldiers To Arrive Sunday
More Tennessee soldiers will be coming home this weekend.
Members of the Tennessee Army National Guard’s 278th Armored Cavalry Regiment who are based in Dunlap and Cookeville will arrive in Smyrna on Sunday.
The 190 soldiers are scheduled to reach Smyrna at approximately 1:30 p.m.
The soldiers are at Camp Shelby in Mississippi, undergoing a process called out-processing.
National Guard authorities are reminding loved ones that arrival times are subject to change, and in recent weeks, many units have arrived up to an hour early.
The 3,400-member Regiment is coming home from Iraq six months earlier than expected.
