Commission & Authority Mend Fences
Comments 0 | Recommend 0Hamilton County Commissioners have stopped the fight against the Water and Wastewater Treatment Authority. Commissioners asked for the paperwork, showing exactly how the board spent 144-thousand dollars in legal fees.
The W-W-T-A showed commissioners how the money was spent. The back story on this dispute was the Authority's perceived lack of transparency the Authority. At the meeting this morning, Commissioner Curtis Adams says everything was now out in the open.
Meanwhile, thousands of people in the county will be seeing a new eight-dollar fee increase on their bill. People in Chattanooga and Collegedale will not get an increase.
