Fairfield Glade Contractors Busted

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation arrested two contractors who ran a construction company based in Fairfield Glade Monday after they were indicted by a Cumberland County Grand Jury on theft charges.

John Emery, 37, from Temecula, Cal. and Ron Morgan, 66, from Jamestown, Tenn. were each charged with 9 counts of misapplication of contractors funds and 12 counts of theft over $10,000.

The two were shareholders of a construction company called USIG and responsible for the day-to-day operations of the business.

TBI opened this case in December of 2008 after allegations were made that the subjects were taking draws from victim’s construction accounts and not using them appropriately to build their residences. According to a TBI spokesperson, the pair stole approximately $750,000 from 20 different victims.

Both Emery and Morgan were booked into the Cumberland County jail and released on $60,000 bond each.
