Voters Head to the Polls in Georgia Tuesday

Tuesday is voting day across the state of Georgia.

Cities will be going to the polls for council seats and for some big decisions. Near the top of that list is whether to allow distilled spirits by the drink in Lafayette. Those who support the referendum say it'll help the town grow. Opponents say people should drink in the privacy of their own homes.

Also on the ballot in Lafayette- Mayor, City Court Judge, and council seats.

Chickamauga will be picking its candidates for city council, and the city's school board.

In Fort Oglethorpe, voters will decide on city council seats.

Varnell votes on city council and mayor.

Chatsworth is set to vote on three separate tax exemptions on manufactured and finished goods.

Polls are open at local city halls from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., scroll down to see a breakdown of contested races.
