''Third Day'' Headlines Riverbend Family Night
The multi-platinum record selling rock band Third Day, will play on the Coca-Cola Stage Tuesday, June 15th. Billboard magazine noted the band “one of the best rock bands, period”. Third Day has played to millions of fans in sold-out arenas around the world.
“This is the 10th year of Faith and Family Night at the Riverbend Festival and I can’t think of a better way to celebrate it than having Third Day as the headliner. It’s hard to beat a family-friendly evening at the riverfront with great entertainment. I’m thankful for the support of Little Debbie Snacks and the Christian Business Community that make this event a family tradition,” said John Zeiser, President of Southern Champion Tray.
Third Day is a Christian rock band originally formed in Marietta, Georgia. The band was founded by lead singer Mac Powell, guitarist Mark Lee and former member Billy Wilkins. The other band members are bassist Tai Anderson and drummer David Carr. Since 1998, Third Day has won four Grammys, twenty four Dove Awards and one American Music Award. The band was inducted in the Georgia Music Hall of Fame on September 19, 2009.
