Teens Accused of Killing Dog and Burglary

Two 15-year-olds are in custody charged with the intentional killing of a Dalmatian dog and the burglary of a residence on Mt. Zion Road in Bradley County.

According to a spokesperson, detectives found that the dog was confined with a cable on the owner’s property. On January 21st the two juveniles attached two cinder blocks to the cable, wrapped the cable around the dog and threw it into a small pond.

Then on March 6th the youths entered the same home, stealing a .22 caliber rifle and a laptop computer. Three other guns were used to vandalize vehicles on the property.

The two 15 year-olds are charged with aggravated burglary, theft over $1,000, vandalism over $1,000, aggravated cruelty to animals, and the intentional killing of an animal. One of the suspects is from Bradley County the other from Ooltewah and both are being held at the Bradley County Juvenile Detention center.

Detectives are continuing the investigation. The rifle and computer have been recovered
