Cumberland Crackdown Coming

The Tennessee Governor's Highway Safety Office will join 23 law enforcement agencies Wednesday, December 31 at noon to announce the 12-hour Cumberland Crackdown, one of the largest enforcement events in Tennessee.

Law enforcement agencies focus their efforts on Highway 127 (SR28) and State Route 111. Both highways intersect in Pickett County at the Kentucky border and cross the Cumberland Plateau before ending in Hamilton County.

The Cumberland Crackdown will begin at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 31 and last until 2:00 a.m. Thursday, January 1. During that time law enforcement agencies will conduct saturation patrols and sobriety checkpoints along the length of these roadways.
