Man Charged With ''Enticing'' Young Girl

Dalton Police have arrested Ronald Eugene Fair and charged him with ''enticing a child'' (GA Code 16-6-5).

According to a police report, on the morning of Feb. 6, Fair entered the Applebee’s on Walnut Avenue and began to watch a 14-year-old girl who was waiting tables at the restaurant for her school. At one point, he told the girl that she was a pretty girl and asked her to come out to his car with him. She said no, according to the report.

He also made comments about the girl to other adults in the room, saying she “sure was a pretty young thing”. Another adult in the restaurant reported that after confronting her again, Fair followed her around the restaurant, watching her.

At the time of his arrest, Fair didn’t have any identification or a wallet, and only had a few dollar bills on his person to pay for his food. He also told the arresting officer that while he did ask the girl to come outside to his car, he did not have a car.

Fair is being held without bond.
