Erlanger Eliminates Four Positions
Comments 0 | Recommend 0Four employees of Erlanger Medical Center had their positions eliminated because of reorganization that's been going on for the last couple of months, according to spokesperson Pat Charles.
She says it is an effort to save money.
Back in June, the Erlanger Board met to vote on their budget, that included the cuts. Board members said at the time they are feeling an economic pinch just like everyone else..
After that meeting, an Erlanger spokesperson said less than a dozen people will actually lose their jobs. The rest of the cuts will come from reassignment and through attrition.
The hospital went though similar cuts two years ago and 11 people actually lost their jobs.
Below is the complete text of an e-mailed statement this morning on the eliminations.
As part of its ongoing and continuous process of effectively aligning its workforce with operations, Erlanger has made some administrative changes.
"After a thoughtful and diligent review of the organization, four administrative positions have been eliminated in a reallocation of the workforce," said Erlanger President and CEO, Jim Brexler.
"We will continue to review all areas throughout the Erlanger health system for efficiencies and opportunities to reduce costs," Mr. Brexler said.
