Comedian Brian Regan Coming to the Tivoli

Live Nation welcomes BRIAN REGAN to the Tivoli Theatre on Thursday, February 28th at 7:30 pm.  Critics and peers agree: Brian Regan has distinguished himself as one of the premier comedians in the country.  The perfect balance of sophisticated writing and physicality, Brian fills theaters nationwide with fervent fans that span generations.

On November 25, 2011, Brian’s highly anticipated second album, All By Myself, was released on CD available only through his website.  The live concert recording was originally released as a digital download in December 2010 only available through his website.  Releasing two critically acclaimed hour Comedy Central specials and DVD’s in as many years - 2008’s The Epitome of Hyperbole, and 2007’s Brian Regan Standing Up - Brian has set a standard of excellence that others continually try to follow.  The Epitome of Hyperbole has also been seen on CMT.

Brian’s non-stop theater tour has visited more than 80 cities each year since 2005 and continues through 2013.  It is the quality of his material, relatable to a wide audience and revered by his peers, which continues to grow Brian’s fan base.  In January of 2012 Brian broke the record for the most consecutive shows by a comedian at Abravanel Hall in Salt Lake City with ten sold-out shows selling more than 26,000 tickets.  In March of 2010, Brian performed five sold-out shows at Abravanel Hall breaking the previous record of four shows set by Jerry Seinfeld in 2005.

With his first appearance on The Late Show with David Letterman in 1995, Brian solidified his place on the show and this year he made his 25th appearance, the most of any comedian on the CBS show.  A dorm room favorite, Brian’s 1997 CD, Brian Regan Live, has sold over 150,000 copies and consistently charts in iTunes Top Ten Comedy Albums.  Brian’s 2000 Comedy Central Presents special continues to be a top viewer choice and Brian’s independently released 2004 DVD, I Walked on the Moon, is available at www.BrianRegan.com.

Tickets are $38.50 and go on sale Friday, October 19th at 10:00 am at LiveNation.com, www.ChattanoogaOnStage.com, www.etix.com,

the Auditorium box office, or (423) 642-TIXS or 757-5050.

All tickets subject to applicable service charges and fees. Dates and times subject to change without notice.

"AMERICAN IDOL"

LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Keith Urban says you never forget your first time. The first time you get booed. The crowd didn't like it when Urban was critical of Alex Preston's version of "Animal" on "American Idol" last night. J-Lo noted they were hearing the first boos for Urban on the show. But the judges were blown away by Caleb Johnson. He didn't lose his cool when his mic stand got away from him. J-Lo says he even stayed on beat. The top six did two songs each, one rock and one country. CJ Harris could be in the most trouble. Neither of his songs wowed the judges. One of the top six gets the ax tonight.

"SURVIVOR"

UNDATED (AP) -- Tony the cop is getting awfully paranoid on "Survivor." He's been spying on his alliance members and was sure he was headed for a fall in the Tribal Council. But it was Woo who took a fall -- of the very real variety. Woo tumbled out of a tree on last night's episode but was only shaken up a bit. Later, a frantic Tony managed to find a super Hidden Immunity Idol. But he didn't use it. Spencer did use his Hidden Immunity Idol in the Tribal Council, but it turns out he didn't need it. The vote came down to Woo and Jeremiah and it's Jeremiah who comes up short. Jeremiah says he did his best and thought he had a shot at the million bucks.

"HEDWIG AND THE ANGRY INCH" - NEIL PATRICK HARRIS

NEW YORK (AP) -- The creator of "Hedwig and the Angry Inch' wanted Neil Patrick Harris to star in the show on Broadway so much, he agreed to wait until Harris was through with "How I Met Your Mother."
