Lake Winnie Offers 'Passport to Fun'
In celebration of the park’s forthcoming 88th Season, Lake Winnepesaukah is offering the Passport To Fun to guests online for only $88.88. This special anniversary pricing includes eight (8) visits to Lake Winnepesaukah with unlimited rides and includes use of the all new waterpark debuting in 2013! Through online ticketing, the South’s favorite family amusement park is offering guests a chance to purchase a special, discounted ticket package as holiday gifts for friends and family. Lake Winnpesaukah has officially made available their Passport To Fun package online. There are limited quantities of the Passport To Fun available and the special $88.88 price expires at midnight on December 31, 2012.
“The only holiday gift better than a day of family fun at Lake Winnepesaukah is eight days of family fun!” offered Talley Green of Lake Winnie. “This is the first time we’ve made a package like this available to the public, each Passport includes multiple visits to enjoy all that Lake Winnepesaukah has to offer. In 2013, Lake Winnepesaukah will debut a multi-million dollar waterpark featuring a lazy river, wave lagoon, flume body slides, enclosed tube slides and side-by-side racer slides, and a splash park for toddlers. It will also offer covered and uncovered lounge seating, retail shops, concessions and a changing facility. “When the waterpark opens, admission to it will be included in the Passport To Fun,” added Green.

"GET ON UP" - DAN AYKROYD
LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Dan Aykroyd has been a fan of James Brown ever since he saw him perform on top of a bar in Canada in 1968. It was at The Esquire Show Bar in Montreal. Aykroyd says Brown's Bolero heels were real close to their beers. And he was backed by his full band, too. Aykroyd plays Brown's manager in "Get On Up," which opens today.

NEW YORK (AP) -- Syfy's "Sharknado" swallowed up nearly four million viewers Wednesday night. The ratings for "Sharknado 2: The Second One," nearly tripled the 1.37 million viewers who saw last summer's premiere of the original "Sharknado." The setting in the campy "Sharknado 2" moved from Los Angeles to New York City. The Big Apple is hit by a storm of rain and falling sharks. Syfy says "Sharknado 2" will air again tomorrow and Sunday.

NEW YORK (AP) -- The makeup artist who turned Marlon Brando into "The Godfather" and Linda Blair into a demon in "The Exorcist" has died. Dick Smith also gave Robert De Niro his mohawk in "Taxi Driver" and shared an Oscar for his work turning F. Murray Abraham into an old man in "Amadeus." He also turned Jonathan Frid into a vampire on "Dark Shadows." Smith was the first makeup artist to win an Oscar for lifetime achievement. He was 92.

NEW YORK (AP) -- Audra McDonald reveals she once tried to kill herself. She told "Popcorn With Peter Travers" that she was in college at Julliard when she tried to slit her wrist. She was battling depression. She says she checked herself into a mental hospital for a month and got the help she needed. The people at Julliard urged her to stick with musical theater because that made her the happiest.
