Pink! Nouveau Tickets on Sale
Memorial Health Care System Foundation will host Pink! Nouveau, the 9th Annual Pink! gala, on Saturday, January 25, 2014, at the Chattanooga Convention Center. Proceeds from Pink! will benefit the MaryEllen Locher Breast Center.
Scott and Donna Mattice will co-chair the Foundation’s signature black-tie event with Ron Harr and Linda Andrea co-chairing the sponsorship committee and Paula Henderson and Will Clegg co-chairing the pre-party committee. The Hamico Foundation returns as the title sponsor of Pink!
Pink! attendees will enjoy cocktails, a four course dinner, live and silent auctions followed by dancing with music by Party on the Moon.
Pink! is a celebration of life for breast cancer patients and survivors raising almost $2 million since 2006 to ensure our community has access to the most advanced breast cancer treatments available.

LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Dinosaurs are anything but extinct, at your local multiplex. "Jurassic World" stays number-one for a third straight weekend, taking in another $54.2 million. Its domestic total now tops a-half billion, only the fifth film ever to reach that mark. "Inside Out" stays in a strong second. But the R-rated comedy "Ted 2" opens in a distant third this weekend. With "Jurassic World" and "Inside Out" huge hits, it's a sizzling start for Hollywood's summer season. Overall, the box office take was up seven percent compared to the same weekend last year.

MOTION PICTURE ACADEMY INVITATIONS
LOS ANGELES (AP) The Motion Picture Academy is looking to get younger and more diverse. The organization that hands out the Oscars says it's inviting Kevin Hart, Common, Emma Stone and Dev Patel to join. More than 320 invitations have been sent out by the academy. Others seeing the welcome mat include Benedict Cumberbatch, David Oyelowo (oh-YEL'-oh-woh), Elizabeth Banks and John Legend. The academy came under fire when all 20 of the acting nominees for the most recent Oscars were white.
DUSTIN DIAMOND WANTS DELAY IN BAR STABBING SENTENCE
PORT WASHINGTON, Wis. (AP) -- "Screech" wants a delay in his sentence. Actor Dustin Diamond, from "Saved by the Bell," was supposed to report to jail yesterday to begin serving a four-month sentence. Diamond was convicted earlier this month on two misdemeanor counts, stemming from a Christmas Day stabbing in a Wisconsin bar. But Diamond's attorney has filed a motion to put the sentence on hold until a potential appeal is filed. Diamond also wants to be allowed to leave the state to play comedy gigs he has booked.
LENA DUNHAM WANTS PROPOSAL
NEW YORK (AP) -- Lena Dunham is looking for a ring -- of the engagement variety. She's tweeted to her boyfriend Jack Antonoff to, "Get on it, yo..." The New York Post reports the couple had pointedly said they wouldn't get married until everyone had the right to marry in the U.S. Dunham's public message to her main squeeze follows the U.S. Supreme Court ruling that same-sex couples can get hitched in all 50 states.
