LEONARD NIMOY - ALTERED BILLS

OTTAWA, Ontario (AP) -- Canadians are marking the death of Leonard Nimoy -- by marking up some of their money. It seems a former prime minister pictured on $5 bank notes looks like Nimoy's character Spock from "Star Trek." That is, if the former P.M. had pointy Vulcan ears, sharp eyebrows and a dark bowl haircut. No problem for sharp-eyed Canadians with Sharpies -- or other writing implements. They have transformed the images of Wilfrid Laurier to look like Spock. Canada's central bank says it isn't illegal to deface or mutilate bank notes. But a bank spokeswoman says scribbling on them is inappropriate -- because it defaces a Canadian symbol and source of national pride. Since Nimoy died, people on social networking sites have posted their own versions of the $5 bill that make the former prime minister look like Spock.

LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Estelle says she remembers that when she was a kid, her family was so hooked on "Dynasty," her parents made sure no one bothered them when it was on. She says it's the same way now with the Fox series "Empire." She says just as her parents "ran our lives" around Dynasty, they shape their day around the show. Estelle has good reason to make sure it's quiet when Empire is on; she's been a guest star on the show. She says she loved her character -- noting she had hair down to her butt -- and Estelle says she would enjoy "flicking it around."

Estelle says it was a dream to perform "Conqueror" with "Empire" star Jussie Smollett.

Estelle says as a kid, her mother was obsessed with the characters on "Dynasty," like she now is with "Empire."

PARKS AND RECREATION - FINALE

NEW YORK (AP) -- It's another sign that the line between watching TV on TV and watching TV online has become blurred. Last week, NBC's "Parks and Recreation" signed off after seven seasons on the air. While the Nielsen ratings showed the finale drew just over 4 million viewers -- a relatively small number -- it drew the more tweets than any other program on TV. That includes "The Walking Dead," which had three times the audience as the NBC show. It's a sign Parks and Recreation made more of a dent online than it did on the air.

IDRIS ELBA - NETFLIX - THEATER PROJECT

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. (AP) -- For many movies, the choice is whether to catch it in the theater -- or wait until it's out on TV. But you won't have to make that choice when "Beasts of No Nation" is released later this year. That's because the project will drop both in select theaters in the U.S. -- and worldwide on Netflix. And it will be released the same day in both formats. The movie tells the story of a child soldier torn from his family to fight in the civil war of an African country.

"THE VOICE" - BLIND AUDITIONS CONTINUE

LOS ANGELES (AP) -- All four coaches on "The Voice" want Army Staff Sergeant Jeremy Gaynor. He's a vocalist with the band at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point. He got the four coaches to turn their chairs during last night's blind auditions. But it's Christina Aguilera who lands the soldier. She pointed out her dad was an Army sergeant, too. Team Xtina has just one slot to fill. The rest of the teams are nearly complete, too. Tonight, The Voice recaps the blind auditions, so far. Next week, the final selections will be made before the battle rounds begin.

OPRAH WINFREY LEAVING CHICAGO

CHICAGO (AP) -- Oprah Winfrey helped put Chicago on the map as a hub for TV production. But now she is pulling up stakes in the Windy City. She's closing down Harpo Studios -- which her talk show called home for more than 20 years. Production that had been done in Chicago will move to her new production house in West Hollywood, California. The Chicago site has been sold to a developer for about $32 million.
