Chattem Makes Popular Winter Product in Chattanooga
This unassuming plant on Chattanooga's Broad Street is responsible for dozens of products that you find on store shelves every day. And when the winter months hit, Gold Bond goes fast.
“It's winter time, it's cold, your skin is dry,” Chattem plant manager Marseata Lockhart says. “Gold Bond is a great product that solves problems for people.”
As the 15 hundred dozen bottles filled per shift head down the line to be packaged to ship, they find one of Chattem's 700 employees: Roger Smith.
“It makes me feel very proud to work for a company that I can tell my family and friends that when Gold Bond comes on to a commercial that we do that product right here,” Smith says.
Gold Bond is so popular right now, Chattem is running extra shifts on this line to make sure the shelves don't run dry of this Scenic City stock.
